BAND CASE STUDY

In Manchester, 1991 a band was formed, They were called The Rain and if u asked most of the british public who they were, they would probably tell you they've never heard of them. But if I was to say the iconic name of the lead vocalist, you will know who they became.

Liam Gallagher formed The Rain with Paul Arthurs, Paul McGuian and Tony McCarroll. However everything changed when Liams older brother Noel Gallagher joining when the band changed their name to Oasis.

Oasis were signed to independent record label Creation Records, releasing their record-setting debut album Definitely Maybe in 1994.

1995 saw a new side of oasis with public rivalry with Blur as well as public feuds between the two brothers.

1997 witnessed the release of oasis third album which became the fastest selling uk album of all time, however lost band members Paul McGuigan and Paul Arthurs.

2000 came the album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants.

2002 Heathen Chemistry was the next album released being the last album with the contribution of long time drummer Alan White.

2005 saw dont believe the truth, the 6th studio album.

2008 saw the last studio album of oasis dig out your soul, nothing special was to come from this album which came to great dissapointment as 2009 came shock.

2009 saw the end of oasis as noel claimed enough was enough and tells how he can never work with his brother again.
